There is new competition for the iPhone as Google’s Nexus 6p smartphone is set to come

out in early November with new and innovative features that will help enhance a smartphone

user’s experience.

The Nexus 6p is the latest installment in Google’s Nexus smartphone collection. The “P”

in the smartphone’s name stands for premium. The Nexus 6p will be the seventh generation in

five years. “The Nexus 6p has a 5.7-inch, high-resolution display and front-facing stereo

speakers all housed in a contoured aluminum body,” as reported by gethuawei.com.

Some of the Nexus 6p features include higher quality frame, longer battery life, newer

Android OS, better camera lighting, and fingertip sensor, as stated in store.google.com.

According to thenextweb.com, “Android has come a long way from two years ago and Huawei

has delivered a phone that is in the same form factor as the 6 Plus, but with a larger screen and its

‘best yet’ camera.”

The Nexus 6p contains a frame that is expected to match frames created by Apple.

“Crafted from aeronautical-grade anodized aluminum, the new Nexus sports the curves and

contours of a machine built for turning heads. Diamond chamfers encircle its edges, and the new

visor on the back of the device accents the low-light-loving, 12.3 MP, sapphire-crystal lens

camera,” according to gethuawei.com.

The Nexus 6p also features a longer battery life, a feature that is very important in a

phone. “With the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, performance on the new

Nexus is faster than ever, yet gentler on battery life. The 3450mAh battery keeps you talking,

texting and apping into the night,” as reported by ibtimes.com.

“The Nexus 6p is a smartphone that I am willing to try and see if it exceeds the

expectations of Apple products,” stated Mauricio Rosales, sophomore.
