A time for renovation! High Point High School hosts their yearly “Clean Up, Green Up.” Each year either in the spring or early fall SGA and the Ecology club teams up to allow students to earn learning service hours by cleaning up trash around the school and planting trees on a Saturday morning. Gloves, along with, snacks and drinks are provided to those who attended.

“I wanna get my community service hours and not do it at the last minute,” said Terquan R. Warren, a freshman who attended this year’s annual clean up. The turnout, for the 2016-2017 fall clean-up was roughly about 20 people. Everyone splits into sub groups and each fulfill a key role in making this event a success. Whether you come for service hours or environmental inquires, everyone benefits from this High Point tradition. For information about Clean Up, Green Up or how to join the ecology club see Mr. George or Ms. Gomez.
